To the staff and especially Pamela Colemen at The Garden City Hotel, I just wanted to say thank you for the great service during my stay. The hotel was so clean and well taken care of, and I really appreciated all the attention to detail. My room was spotless, organized, and very comfortable, which made my stay even better. A big thank you to the housekeeping team for all their hard work and consistency. It’s obvious that a lot of care goes into keeping everything looking so good. Please pass along my appreciation to everyone involved. Your effort really did not go unnoticed, and it made a big difference in my experience. We were given an unacceptable room and told the hotel was full that evening. The room was dismal and not up to the standard I have always expected, having stayed at the GCH over 15 times. The next day, the staff was excellent in getting our room changed, altough it took quite long to accomplish that task. The room we were given should be taken out of inventory or only given out with a full disclosure of having no closet, an outdated bathroom and a much needed makeover with paint and furniture.
We hosted our wedding guests here in 2025 and held our day-before reception, wedding after-party in the Rose Room, and post-wedding brunch. The brunch was fantastic - they accommodated a separate room for us during the Mother’s Day brunch for our guests. Everyone was fantastic to work with, especially Chris. We had a great time and made some wonderful memories, and coming back for Mother’s Day brunch this year again in 2026 was just as fantastic. The service was great and everyone was so nice.
We recently hosted my 50th birthday celebration at The Garden City Hotel and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The highlight of the evening was the The Rose Room, which might just be the coolest kept secret on Long Island. The adventure begins with a short golf cart ride from the valet to a slightly sketchy entrance that leads to the most incredible hidden private bar. It’s all part of the fun, and my guests couldn’t stop talking about how unique and exciting the whole experience was. The service was fantastic from start to finish. The food was delicious, and the rainbow cookies were absolutely decadent — people are still talking about them! Our bartenders, Carlos and Greg, were outstanding and kept the energy fun all night. A very special thank you to Chris, who helped plan the event and truly went above and beyond. He confirmed every detail, accommodated my last-minute requests, and made sure everything ran smoothly so I could simply enjoy the celebration. We also stayed overnight at the hotel and had a wonderful experience. The room was spacious, comfortable, and the hotel staff provided excellent customer service throughout our stay. It was the perfect place to celebrate a milestone birthday, and we’re already looking forward to planning our next stay. Highly recommend!
